Community
Involvement
Contel continues
to be a strong supporter of local community events. Always looking for
ways to make positive, long-term impacts on their communities.
Contel donated employee labor and funds to help construct a concession
stand for the Elgin Classic Little League. Contel employees solicited
for subcontract and volunteer labor and the acquisition of purchased
and donated materials. Contel management acted as supervision
of both contracted and volunteer labor on the construction of the entire
project. The 40’ x 60’ building, consisting of concession
area, covered picnic area, and bathroom facilities, was completed for
opening day of the 2000 Season. This concession stand is enjoyed by
over 700 players, their families, and dedicated fans.

Contel,
Inc. employees’ involvement with today’s youth has been
apparent with their direct participation within their local communities.
Contel and it’s employees have been involved with local Big Brother-Big
Sister programs, coaching and mentoring boys and girls in programs such
as Addison Rec Club, an organization dedicated to athletic programs
for more than 1,000 children in such sports as Pop Warner Football and
Cheerleading, Baseball, and Basketball. Contel encourages all of its
employees to donate their time and talents with hands on direct involvement
within local communities. It is this type of attitude that exemplifies
and carries over to our customers’ workplace, displaying the values
and integrity of The Contel Family.
